2 HR Delay Jan 15

In keeping with Montgomery County Public Schools decisions regarding emergency weather closings, there is a 2 hour delay of school on Tuesday , January 15.

Therefore, Saint Luke CDS will have a 2 hr delay on Tuesday, January 15. What does that mean ?

Two’s will not have school

Three’s will meet 11:30am-12:30pm

Pre-K will meet 11:00am-1:00pm

The CDS office will open at 10:30am

Note: MCPS said they will reassess their decision to close or not by 7am on January 15. If they decide to close, then CDS will also close.

CDS is now enrolling for all age groups (2, 3 & Pre-K) for the 2019-2020 school year!  The first days of school will be September 4/5, 2019.

Christmas Break 2018

The last days of school before Christmas Break are December 17 & 18, depending on when your child’s class meets.

CDS will be closed December 20, 2018 – January 1, 2019 for Christmas Break.

School will resume on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.

Enrollment Open House February 22

Come Explore Saint Luke CDS in 2019–We are enrolling now!

Saint Luke Christian Day School (ages 2, 3 & Pre-K) invites you to join our upcoming Enrollment Open House on Friday, February 22, 2019 .  Tour the school and see the classes in action!  While you will not be able to speak in depth to the teaching staff, you will be able to get a sneak peek at what our busy part-time program is like. The tour will begin at 10:15am.  The open house is for families who would be new to the school in the 2019-2020 school year.  Children are welcomed warmly. No reservations necessary.

CDS will be closed November 21-23 in observance of the Thanksgiving Day Holiday.

Saint Luke CDS will be closed on Tuesday, November 6 for Election Day.  Saint Luke is a polling site.

Saint Luke CDS will also be closed on Monday, November 12 in observance of Veterans Day.

No School October 5th & 8th

Saint Luke CDS will be closed on Friday, October 5 for Staff Training, and on Monday, October 8 in observance of Columbus Day.

Last Day of School

The last days of class for the school year are May 23 & 24, depending on when your child’s class meets.

There will be a special closing worship service for Pre-K Students on Friday, May 25 at 9:15am (there is no regular class that day).

School will resume for the 2018-2019 school year on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 (We are still accepting applications!)

Diaper Drive: May 1-13

CDS Mother’s Day Diaper Drive

Please join Saint Luke Christian Day School in collecting diapers and other baby essentials for the DC Diaper Bank.

Between May 1st and May 13th we will be collecting:

  • New and Opened Packages of Diapers (infant and adult sizes)
  • New Packages of Baby Wipes
  • Formula (please check expiration date)
  • Baby Food Jars and Pouches
  • Baby Hygiene Products

The DC Diaper Bank works to provide an adequate and reliable supply of diapers to babies, toddlers and their families in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.  Diapers and other baby essentials are provided to social service organizations that are already helping families in need through comprehensive programs and services.  This ensures that diapers are distributed to the families that need them the most and in the most effective way.

Over 175,000 diapers are distributed each month via their distribution network.
